CoFI Break Video—Five Reasons NOT to Leave a Church

While there are (rare) times to move from one church to another, I want to share five reasons NOT to leave:

1. When you don't fit in.
2. When it's easier for you to connect with God elsewhere.
3. The leaders aren't doing things the way most people think they should.
4. When another church has better programs for you and your family.
5. When God tells you to.

Five Reasons NOT to Leave a Church

A new Charisma Magazine article on this topic was published today. You can follow along while you watch the video if you’d like by reading the article HERE.

Unity around the mission of the church is something Satan cannot risk. The moment people lock arms, take their positions and unify with the Great Commission in front of them, it's over. He's done.

A spirit of independence is convincing Christians that it's time to take control of their lives and forsake the call to gather under leaders within the structure of the church. We must repent, and we must return to position and get ready to move as the alarm sounds.

This teaching is definitely a hot topic and sure to result in a variety of reactions. It is based on a Charisma Magazine article by John that was released today.

CoFI Break – Ten Threats to Revival Part 7 – The Seeker Sensitive Movement

The seeker sensitive movement is a serious threat to revival. Watch today’s important teaching!

Dell-000050057

The seeker sensitive movement is a significant threat to revival.

We must absolutely refuse to tone down the activity of the Holy Spirit out of respect of those who are less hungry, less committed and resistant to a supernatural life.

The Holy Spirit is much better than us at drawing those who are lost in sin, and a white hot atmosphere of prayer and God's presence will result in them hitting their knees and repenting. They will be born again in the prayer room and they will never want to leave!

Revival is going to be marked by unusual manifestations that will look foolish to those who are naturally minded. Our goal isn't to water down a revival culture for their sake. It's to understand that when God breaks out, as in Acts 2, many will marvel and many will mock and the furnace must get hotter not cooler when that happens.

CoFI Break Video—Ten Threats to Revival Part 5 – Taking a Wait and See Approach (continued)

Our mission to launch revival and rescue souls from an eternity in Hell is so intense that we have no option to kick back, relax and wait for God to move. We aren't to wait on him…he's waiting on us!

The laborers are few and it grieves God's heart that so little is being done about that.

You and I are called to strive toward a victorious mission and to pray without ceasing until revival impacts our cities.

TEN THREATS TO REVIVAL PART 4 – TAKING A WAIT AND SEE APPROACH

In today's message John reveals the next threat to revival – taking a “wait and see” approach. If we wait to see if a reported move of God is indeed something significant, it will most likely never happen. Skepticism and unbelief will quench the Spirit before he barely begins to manifest in our regions.

We can't wait for revival to break out before we participate at a high level. Revival will be facilitated through us, and we must gather together with others and contend with passion until it ignites.

Waiting for revival is a threat to revival, but being radically invested in the costly pursuit of revival will see it launch with great power!

TEN THREATS TO REVIVAL PART 3 – A BELIEF IN FATE

The second threat to revival is a belief in fate. Do you presume that an outpouring is coming simply because there has been prophecy about it or because hunger is increasing in a region? That is not enough.

The call is to be consumed with Jesus and his passion to see a revived church. Every day our predominant focus must be fire on the Earth. Anything less puts revival at risk.

So many say they are tired of church as usual, yet those same people are still employing the same methods of ministry they have for decades. Being tired of church as usual isn't enough—we must embrace and initiate radical change.

CoFI Break Video–The Joy of the Lord

In the midst of an intense life of contending we can experience great and continual joy!

First, I want to encourage you to read my two latest Charisma Magazine articles. They are receiving a lot of feedback and one has nearly 30,000 shares from the Charisma Magazine site alone:

Sometimes its easy to think that a call to contending means that we have to be grim and intense with no joy. This couldn't be further from the truth! We can experience joy, peace, life and an amazing relationship with Jesus always! Joy is strength and it is necessary for us as we advance in our callings.

It should be easy for us to smile, laugh, rejoice and experience abundant life even as we contend with a sobering, end-time calling.
