Very Special Event! Michele Perry of Iris Ministries Sudan

The Thinning of the Veil : October 29-31, 2010

THE THINNING OF THE VEIL conference with Michele Perry, founder of Iris Ministries Sudan, will impact your life in dramatic fashion!

Michele shared with me that she is experiencing the supernatural realm with significant ease, and wants to see the church step into that same life of encounter.

Halloween is commonly known to be the time when those involved in witchcraft and the occult can move into the spirit realm most easily. The veil is thinnest that night of the year.

Of course, everything the enemy does is a reproduction or a skewed version of the pure are real. God loves it when we go deeper into his presence, when we walk in the Spirit and when it becomes normal to know and hear him continually.

Michele will be teaching and coaching you into this amazing reality!

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

The main sessions, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, are FREE, but you must register at www.detroitrevivalchurch.com/events.

The three Saturday workshop sessions require both registration and a small fee.

John Burton’s Welcome Note

Hi!John-Burton150 (from Sonyvaio)

Thank you for considering me for ministry in your church or at your conference or event. My heart is to see pastors strengthened and churches break into freedom and extreme life.

I look forward to connecting with you and developing a great relationship. You will discover that I’m easy and fun to work with, and your mission is extremely important to me.

I’ve written five books on topics including prayer, revival and fulfilling our destinies in life, and would love to teach on those subjects or others that God has burned into my heart.

Single events, conferences, workshops, leadership training and other ministry venues work great. I’m free to travel one full week and weekend each month, and any other day except Sunday evenings the remainder of the month. Revival Church meets Sunday evenings and it’s probably good that their pastor is in the building at least three out of four Sunday evenings!

Press Release – Detroit Revival Church

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

John Burton Ministries starts Revival Church in St. Clair Shores, MI, welcomes Jeff Garvin

St. Clair Shores, MI – November 14, 2009

The world is watching Detroit, waiting on the report of its complete demise or of a miraculous restoration.

John Burton launched Revival Church with that in mind.

“After traveling to the Detroit area to minister several times over the past year, it became obvious that a permanent move was in order.  Our house sold in the Kansas City area in under a week, and we have since moved in and are ready to see a dramatic reformation in Detroit.  My heart is to see a legitimate outpouring of God here that will bring order to chaos, life to hurting people and vibrancy to a desperate society.”

John Burton has been in ministry since 1991 and has written five books including 20 Elements of Revival, Revelation Driven Prayer and Six Enemies of Fulfilled Destiny.  He was recently featured on the Miracle Channel (www.miraclechannel.ca) as he discussed the thrill and importance of living a prophetic life.

John also planted Revolution Church in Manitou Springs, Colorado, directed an internship at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri and gave leadership to a city-wide prayer initiative in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

After several pre-launch meetings in their home, John and Amy Burton, along with their three boys, would like to invite you to advance toward revival in their new location.  Revival Church meets every Sunday evening at 6pm at First United Methodist Church at 24036 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.

Prophetic prayer starts at 5pm and children can be checked in for their ministry at 5:45pm.

They also host a weekly prayer and strategic revival radio show online every Monday at 8pm.  You can listen at www.detroitrevivalchurch.com/radio.

Internationally known prophetic revivalist Jeff Garvin, who was a significant part of the recent Lakeland, Florida Outpouring, will be ministering at Revival Church in December.  He will be at a sister ministry, International House of Prayer East Detroit, on Friday, December 4th at 7pm, and at Revival Church on Saturday, December 5th at 7pm and Sunday, December 6th at 6pm.

A trembling and a searing burning is coming to the church of Detroit

First, check out our new website for Revival Church.  We may be holding our Sunday evening services at the First United Methodist Church on Greater Mack, so stay tuned for updates.  The website is www.detroitrevivalchurch.com.

"The coming moves of God will require nothing short of a revolution of our current structures, models and mindsets. Not an adjustment or an enhancement, but deep reform. The resulting fire and presence of the Holy Spirit will cause us to marvel and wonder why we ever resisted at all."- John Burton

I’m deeply provoked.  While I understand the value of due process, something deep within can’t shake the prophetic cry for sudden reformation in our churches.

God zealously loves the church, and I’m convinced he loves it too much to allow it to remain in its current form without some divine pressure.

The church must change. Now.  The picture of Amy above is key.  She mentioned that revival will only come to Detroit if we go to the place of agony, of groans and visibly shaking screams from our spirit.  We must press like Amy did when she was contending for the life of our daughter on stage in Lakeland.  Look at her face and never forget it.

I bet I’ve heard similar messages hundreds of times over the last ten years or so, yet we still resort to the familiar.

I simply can’t shake this.  Nor do I want to.  A burning is coming to Detroit, and we must be contending for it to arrive sooner than later.

This burning will threaten more than most of us are willing to risk.  As churches raise the bar, intercede night and day, stimulate the heavy activity of the Holy Spirit and embrace an “I couldn’t care less” John the Baptist style disposition that cries continually for the arrival of Jesus- many will leave.  Many will be offended.  People we rely on to run our programs, to pay their tithes.  Everything is at risk- money, people, reputation, 401ks, mortgage payments- everything.

However, the remnant who aren’t in it for their on security or satisfaction or affirmation will die daily and contend in unity for Jesus to arrive in power.

We, as simple and weak humans, are going to do our best to allow God to form Revival Church with all of this in mind.  I believe it’s important for all of us to be in position, fully on fire and ready to burn night and day.

Detroit needs prophetic, cross-bearing churches on fire, night and day, in order for this revival to hit.

Pray for reformation.  Pray against the American culture and calendar that has demanded submission.  Pray for radical transformation in the church- from the way we pray, to the children’s ministry to the increase of white hot fire in the midst of our events.  Pray for an end to Sunday only church.  Pray for an end for the need for ‘seeker’ ministry as the flames of God’s fire transform these people in the midst of a shaking, trembling Upper Room style church.

And, in addition to praying for it- let’s just do it.  We’re not waiting on God.  We don’t have to convince him of the need for revival.  He’s waiting on us to just do it.
